Lake Brownwood State Park

We continue Northwest to Brownwood, Texas. It was a cloudy and grey kind of day with the sun peaking out occasionally and 75 degrees. This was a shorter drive - only about 3 1/2 hours.

Along the highway you would see these fields of yellow. Absolutely stunning, the trees look like summer and the ground looks like fall!

The roads getting to Brownwood were strange, you would be driving 75 (we don't with the trailer) and then come across a small town.

Campsite was nice, campground was a bit older, roads are smaller (not as big rig friendly) but works for the evening. We had a quick shower, temperature dropped a bit further and humidity was super low which was nice.

We will get on the road early tomorrow (planning for 8am) since we have a 6 1/2 hour drive to Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
