We took a ride to the famous Tail of the Dragon. Tail of the Dragon (also known as Deals Gap or Dragon) is considered by many as one of the world's best motorcycling and sports car roads. If you are looking for excitement, this road will provide it! The Dragon spans only 11 miles but has 318 curves! Located on the Tennessee/North Carolina state line.
The tree of shame is where parts from motorcycles that crashed on the Tail of the Dragon. The speed limit is only 30 miles per hour max and slower in many areas. Trucks are not allowed on this stretch of road due to the curves and narrowness of the road. Sometime folks get a bit excited and drive too fast - end up on the tree of shame unfortunately.
